The fire service profession increasingly uses physical fitness as a performance measure. The professional must understand fitness assessments and standards, absolute cut point fitness scores and referencing normative data. Using fitness testing scores is critical as a qualifying factor in the hiring process.
This 4.5-day course is designed specifically for the fire service professional involved in planning or delivering physical fitness programs in their academy/department.

This is a curriculum-based testing course. Students who complete the course and pass both the written and practical exams receive a Cooper Institute Certificate.

Course Check-In/Hours:
Day1: (Check-in 7:30 am) 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Day 2-4: 8:00 am - 5:30 pm
Day 5: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
Needed Items:
Please wear fitness/workout attire to class each day, including shorts and a t-shirt for body composition testing. You will need to bring a calculator, a #2 pencil, notebook paper, and your valid CPR card.
